Non-League Day is a national celebration of grassroots football, and 2024/25, the Essex Senior League took it one step further by partnering with Prostate Cancer UK, a cause that resonates deeply with many in the football world.
Grassroots Football Making a Big Difference
The success of Non-League Day 2025 was a league-wide effort. Clubs like Benfleet FC, Buckhurst Hill FC, Takeley FC, and many more went above and beyond to raise funds and awareness. But this achievement belongs to the entire Essex Senior League community—from the organisers and players to the fans who turned out in support.
Last year’s record-breaking total of £7,663.77 is a testament to what can be achieved when grassroots football unites behind a cause.
Looking Forward
The Essex Senior League’s outstanding contribution to Prostate Cancer UK will leave a lasting legacy, not just in funds raised, but in the awareness and support built within local communities.
With thanks to all participating clubs, volunteers, fans, and special guests like Stuart Pearce, Non-League Day 2025 will be remembered as a landmark occasion for the league. It also sets a powerful example for other leagues and organisations across the country, proving once again that football at every level has the potential to change lives.
We are looking forward to Non League Day 2026
