Non-League Day 2026

Non-League Day is another important date in our calendar and one that means a great deal to many of us.

Founded by James Doe, the idea was simple but powerful, to encourage supporters to back their local non-league club when there is a break in the professional fixture schedule.

Over the years, with the support and commitment of clubs and leagues, it has grown into something far more than a one-off initiative.

It has become a celebration of community football at its most authentic, while also raising valuable funds and awareness for a range of charitable causes.

Non-League Day reminds us that football at this level is about connection, volunteering and giving back, not just what happens on the pitch, but the positive impact our clubs continue to have within their communities.

Non-League Day is extra special to Essex Senior League, lasts year's 15th year anniversary of NLD was recounted as 'The day that changed non-league' by Location Football (check out their YouTube video featuring Stuart Pearce and The Premier League Trophy https://youtu.be/gWSUdFyQz4NM raising over £7,500 for Prostate Cancer UK.

Whilst we may not have the Premier League Trophy this NLD, we are working hard behind the scenes make this NLD just as special!

Join us on our 'Coast to City' Ground Hop across Essex and East London, with two designated routes, you can pre-book your 'Boarding Pass' by emailing secretary@essexseniorleague.co.uk, Boarding Passes are priced at £30 and cover up to 4 matches in 24 hours.

A low-cost minibus will be on hand to transfer you to and from the Harwich & Parkeston to Halstead Town to Hullbridge Sports route for a nominal fee of £5.00 return.
