Inclement Weather Policy Implemented

By Michelle Dorling

Due to the ongoing extreme temperatures ...

The league has taken the sensible decision to implement our inclement weather policy. This allows clubs to decide tonight whether to postpone their game tomorrow. Clubs will have until 6pm otherwise normal FA rules will apply regarding pitch inspections and postponements tomorrow.

All clubs have been advised via email, and our social media to update members of the public.

All excluding White Ensign who are playing their 4th Round FA Vase tie tomorrow - they have already scheduled a pitch inspection for 11am tomorrow in compliance with FA rules.

We have agreed to sensibly apply the Severe/Inclement weather policy this evening, following the postponement of an artificial pitch, it makes sense to allow clubs to advise us if their grounds, in their opinion, will be playable tonight/tomorrow.

If you don't believe they will, we will allow postponements up to and including 6pm this evening, it is still the home teams responsibility to advise the league, opponents and match officials of their decision.

If clubs want to try to see if things improve, that's not a problem, they will be required to ensure that pitches are inspected in accordance with FA inspection and postponement requirements.

We know, none of the clubs want to postpone, and some will be wanting/needing revenue ... so the decision is theirs to make.
