The West Essex Family is a 'through' Football Club, which following a formal merger of our Senior & Junior Clubs in 2020, now provides football for boys and girls from age 4, all the way through to our flagship Senior 1st XI playing Non-League football in the Essex Senior League.

West Essex FC were established by John Spinks in 1989, with West Essex Colts coming later in 2003, being the brainchild of Mark & Sheena Penfold.

We are an England Football Accredited Club and are based at the Rolls Sports Ground in Highams Park.

Our Senior 1st XI ground share at Wadham Lodge Stadium.

Our club 'playing strategy' is very much focused on player development and with the exciting addition of girls football, we now have 23 competitive teams. In addition, Kickers Soccer School, our community facility for Reception to Year 6 children, now has a continued membership of circa 100 children. Our Weetabix Wildcats section has an additional membership of circa 50 primary aged girls.

Our Youth section's ambition is to provide competitive football, quality coaching and a fun environment for the youth of Highams Park, Chingford and the surrounding areas.The principal aim is to encourage a culture in which children and young people can participate in football in a safe and enjoyable environment and by encouraging personal physical fitness, teamwork and discipline, we aim to have a tangible positive impact on the lives of our youth players.

We have our own clubhouse and facilities and all Managers/Coaches are F.A. qualified and DBS checked. The club offers a varied football programme including competitive football, structured training, tournaments and tours with an emphasis on player development.

The club also offers a varied social programme for all playing members and their wider families.
